Settings
Without a key the API allows 1,000 requests a day (30/min). A free key from dev.pokemontcg.io raises that to 20,000. Each set costs 1–2 requests, then it's cached locally.
Offline cache
The card API fails intermittently, which is what causes "couldn't reach the card API" on a set you just tapped. Preloading downloads every set in the shop once, retrying whatever fails, and stores it in this browser. After that the shop opens instantly with no API call at all. Do this on Wi-Fi; it takes a few minutes.
Data
Clearing the cache keeps your collection; it just re-downloads set data next time.
